As the U.S. enters the final weeks of the presidential election season, the question of how Catholics should vote becomes urgent once again. In dialogue with the U.S. Catholic Bishops’ letter “Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship,” this talk will explore Catholic perspectives on voting and suggest constructive ways to assess candidates, issues, and priorities. There will be ample opportunity for questions, answers, and sharing of perspectives.
Presented by Brian Stiltner, who co-chair of the Social Justice and Community Building Committee and Professor of Theology and Religious Studies at Sacred Heart University.
The program starts at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 29. Light refreshments will be served. At 6:15 pm preceding the event is a business meeting of the SJCB, which any parishioner is also welcome to attend.
