Welcome to the 2026-2027 year of Faith Formation!
We are so excited to meet you and grow in our faith together! We all want our children to know and love Jesus, which is why we are offering new and dynamic programs this year to do just that.
Family Program
We will be offering a Family Program for families with students in Grade 5 and below. We will be gathering once a month for fun and engaging sessions, participate in family meetings at home the next few weeks, and then come back together at the end of the month for a Family Mass and social. Faith Formation Small Group Program
We will be offering a Small Group Program for students in Grades 6-9. Youth will meet in small groups to have meaningful discussions about our faith in a setting that builds friendships, trust, community, and a sense of belonging. Sacramental Preparation
Reconciliation/Communion: Children preparing for first Reconciliation & Communion will attend 2 monthly classes on Sunday mornings, from 9:45-10:45am at the OLMC Parish Center. There will be engaging classes, family workshops, and rehearsals throughout the year. The sacraments will be received in 2027.
Confirmation: Youth in Grades 8 and 9 preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation, will participate in our Faith Formation Small Group Program and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2027.
**The Archdiocese of Hartford is in the process of changing the Confirmation year to 8th grade. Our classes have been adjusted to provide all students with the opportunity to receive this beautiful sacrament with open hearts. Youth preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation will participate in our Faith Formation Small Group program and will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2027. Grade 9 students will be confirmed in the spring and grade 8 in the Fall.
Registration
It’s time to register for the 2026–2027 Faith Formation year! We invite all families with children in PreK through high school to join us as we grow together in faith through engaging classes, family activities, and sacramental preparation. We offer our Family Faith Formation Program for children in Grades 5 and below and a Faith Formation Small Group Program for those in Grades 6-9.
