Deacon Tulio Ossa and his family are moving from Connecticut to Florida. This means that his term as Deacon will be drawing to a close. His last day with us will be Pentecost, Sunday.
On that day, June 8, we will be having a good-bye reception at 1:30 pm at Blessed Sacrament Church Hall. All are invited to say good-bye to Deacon and to his wife Flora. They both have done so much for our parish over the years. Flora has been a faithful office volunteer and has done a marvelous job in coordinating a part of our OCIA program – the path that people follow in coming into the Church. Deacon Tulio has been a big help in a variety of ways in our parish. I am especially thankful to him for his work in preparing couples for matrimony. Please join us on the eighth of June to offer our well wishes as they
begin this new chapter in their lives.
At the end of July we will say goodbye to Father Eric Zuniga, who will begin his ministry at North American Martyrs Parish in East Hartford. He will be the Parochial Vicar and be in preparation to take over the parish as Pastor, with the retirement of the present pastor.
Father Eric has been an important part of our Parish Community. Though we are glad for his new opportunity, we are saddened to have to say goodbye. On Sunday, June 29, we will have a special reception so we can gather and say goodbye. Thank you, Father Eric, for all that you do and for saying yes to the Lord!
